Merchandise Buyer jobs in New Hampshire

We are seeking an experienced Buyer to join our team on a fulltime basis in Amherst, NH. The ideal candidate will have experience as a Buyer, thrive in a fast-paced environment and work independently driving results.

LOCATION: Amherst, NH (onsite)

SALARY: $70,000 - $80,000/Annually DOE

SCHEDULE: M - F, 8AM-5:30PM 9/80 Schedule

Direct Hire Fulltime

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Purchase all materials (raw, supplies, etc.) based on requisitions.
• Maintain raw material cost records in Excel for sales quoting.
• Coordinate material for drop shipments.
• Negotiate pricing.
• Work with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and terms.
• Coordinate and track cost avoidance and savings initiatives.
• Track daily logistics and truck shipments.
• Update Open Purchase Orders (POs) daily/weekly.
• Issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs) for elastomers, fabrics, inserts, tooling, adhesives, machinery, etc.
• Order and track tool fabrication and repairs.
• Set up new suppliers and manage NDAs, SQMs, and ISO certifications.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• Related work experience as a Buyer
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage changing priorities.
• Understand math skills with a high degree of accuracy.
• Excellent telephone and communication skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with suppliers.
• Proficiency in PC and MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Experience with Great Plains/Dynamics software is a plus.
• High School diploma required; college degree preferred.
