Media Design Manager designs, plans, and directs the development and distribution of informational material across different types of media. Identifies target audience and analyzes media efficiency, ensures media design works appropriately. Being a Media Design Manager may assist in media plan implementation, apprises and modifies media design. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Media Design Manager typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Media Design Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Media Design Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Responsibilities you would experience at CDI
- Design and plan production of roadway, highway, ADA compliant sidewalk and multi-use facilities.
- Review, and provide roadway design elements including horizontal and vertical alignments, cross sections, intersection layout, drainage design, pedestrian facility design, utilities conflict and relocations, as well as other roadway design tasks.
- Work collaboratively with CDI leaders, and other Project Engineers to develop effective project solutions.
- Mentoring and teaching team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a four-year college or university; PE strongly encouraged.
- 6 –18 years experience
- Strong technical skills in transportation engineering and roadway design.
- Experienced in working with governmental clients in Missouri and/or Illinois.
- Proficiency with MicroStation.
- Experience with Highway/Roadway Plan Production.
Desired Skills
- Strong technical skills roadway drainage design
- Experience with Power Geopak SS10 and/or ORD
- Experience with MicroStation Geopak Drainage
- Good communication skills
