    REPORTS TO: Lead Materials Planner

    Under the direction of the Lead Material Planning, the Material Planner will be responsible for the execution of daily raw material planning activities. This role focuses on ensuring raw material availability to meet organizational objectives while leveraging subject matter expertise in materials management. The Material Planner will play a pivotal role in coordinating internal functions to ensure seamless supply chain planning and will work on materials management projects and initiatives, including new product launches.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Take ownership of designated materials, serving as a subject matter expert in specific areas of planning such as bulk buying, MRP master data, and inventory management.
    • Collaborate with the Associate Manager of Materials Planning to review work and provide support in addressing key issues as needed.
    • Understands how an ERP/MRP system works to ensure integrated planning and efficient materials management practices.
    • Communicates with appropriate teams on all materials related aspects (i.e. Purchase Order status, change in lead times, etc.).
    • Helps to continually improve upon inventory goals established through strategic ordering practices, stocking policies, and proactive obsolescence management.
    • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize best inventory management practices. Collaborate closely with procurement, operations, logistics, and finance teams to understand production requirements, capacity constraints, and lead times.
    • Adjust materials planning activities accordingly to ensure seamless production flow aligned with business objectives and priorities.
    • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, automate tasks, and leverage technology solutions to optimize operations.
    • Drive improvements in inventory management and supply chain performance through the implementation of best practices and technology advancements.
    • Performs routine clerical duties, including data entry.
    • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned in a warehouse setting.

    • Detail driven and a self-starter - Comfortable working in a factory environment.
    • Computer and Math Skills - Must be proficient in Excel and be able to navigate ERP/MRP software, Microsoft Dynamics AX is a plus. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.

    • Must be able to effectively communicate with employees. Ability to speak and write English (bilingual in Spanish preferred by not required).

    • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock. The employee is frequently exposed to extreme heat or cold, and occasionally to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; risk of radiation and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
    • 1-2 years of work experience in materials planning.
    • High School Diploma or equivalent is required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • Must be computer literate, Microsoft Office Suites (Excel, Word, Outlook).
    • High attention to detail and data entry skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • General knowledge of manufacturing, inventory control and material movement in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
    • Prior experience in ERP, experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or SAP is a plus.
    Compensation Range: $53,250 - $79,872
