PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Provide support to supply chain and operations through release of production orders, ensuring material is available and approved prior to releasing the order. Review and confirm the information on the production order is correct prior to release to manufacturing. Responsible for the scrap process and for overseeing the disposition of blocked stock material. Compiles data on order volume, production schedules and forecasts, and applies methods to estimate future materials requirements. Plans, schedules and monitors inbound movement of materials from suppliers. Determines material requirements and coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production and engineering. Develops specifications for new contract orders.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Release work orders in NetSuite, working with planning and manufacturing to ensure requirements are met.
Inventory expiry reporting for batches and materials in inventory
Oversee the LOR- Left over residual reporting, scrap process
Lead meetings with operations, quality, warehouse and finance to ensure blocked stock materials are dispositioned timely
Demonstrates leadership skills and the ability to influence others
Completes assignments in more than one functional area (process, project, etc.) supporting multiple customer requirements
Other functions as required to support existing operations and customer focused projects.
QUALIFICATION:
Required
• HS diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 plus years of experience in supply chain/logistics required (FDA regulated industry preferred)
Background in or working knowledge of manufacturing industry
Knowledge of ERP systems required.
Strong organizational and communication skills, time management
and proven computer skills required, including spreadsheet experience;
MS office preferred.
High degree of motivation and sense of urgency required
Ability to deal with fast paced multiple demands, and very
dynamic situations.
Work in an environment with tight deadlines and close
supervision.
Communicates results to peers and supervisors effectively.
Ability to maintain integrated computer systems and related data
accuracy.
