Client Marketing Manager
  • Beacon Media + Marketing
  • Reno, NV FULL_TIME
  • WHY BE GOOD WHEN YOU CAN BE GREAT?

At Beacon, we believe great marketing is a marriage of art and science, where insight, creativity, and technology work brilliantly together. We are looking for a client marketing manager to lead, nurture, and grow our clients' businesses and relationships, work with our internal teams to achieve clients' marketing goals, and ensure that we are providing the kind of consistent, proactive thinking and added value that really makes a difference for the client and ensures a long and dynamic working relationship. You get to work with other fun, hardworking, and creative people who are passionate about making marketing magic happen for our clients (all while adding awards and trophies to your bookshelf). Our ideal candidate is a team-spirited, skilled, and imaginative individual with an eye for marketing strategy and opportunities. If you like working with people, can organize and juggle multiple balls at once (not literally, but that would be awesome, too), have outstanding communication skills, and enjoy a fast-paced environment, we'd love to talk to you!

The diversity of our client mix means you'll never get bored. From tourism services to mental health and medical specialties, we work with some of the best local, regional, and national companies in their industries. From coast to coast, our clients are small to medium businesses that focus on local or regional target audiences.

About the Client Marketing Manager position:

You will assist clients in bolstering and improving their online marketing to produce the best ROI. You must have solid experience and expertise in marketing, maintaining a customer-based approach to everything you do. You will be well-informed on the value of digital tools and how they can add value to a company. Your ultimate mission is twofold: First, to create and maintain lasting client relationships that will continually grow our business, and second, to help develop great marketing campaigns that increase our clients' businesses.

Poise and a strong, engaging communication style based on natural warmth and enthusiasm is the key to achieving the goals of this job. The work involves driving toward results by enrolling the commitment and buy-in of both clients and team members. While the job requires strong initiative and self-direction, results are only achieved with and through people. A sincere appreciation for people and how they are each uniquely motivated is the foundation for designing and implementing interactive communication and decision-making processes. The job requires a high degree of “selling” of ideas and marketing principles to the client as well as enthusiastically communicating the clients' goals and feedback to the organization.

The job environment is fast-paced and results-oriented. A self-confident, extroverted communication style that can enliven, engage, and positively impact individuals and groups is essential. The job has a variety of tasks and is dynamic and changing. Because goals and desired results can quickly change, the job requires regularly meeting and proactively establishing relationships with various groups within the organization and with clients. The ability to understand, quickly react, and motivate others to adapt to the changing organizational environment is a critical key to success.

    • Stay current on digital technology trends, social media, and web analytics.
    • Have an understanding of business marketing and how digital tools can add value to the client
    • Proactively bring ideas and recommendations to the client (anticipate their needs and bring ideas to them before they need them. Ideas and recommendations should be based on actual data and how their marketing is performing)
    • Report on, analyze, and explain monthly performance metrics to clients. This requires a sophisticated understanding of marketing trends and interpretation of marketing and trending analytics)
    • Work with our strategy director to craft optimized digital marketing strategies specific to the clients’ evolving goals, target market, and objectives.
    • Build and maintain lasting, important client relationships by frequently and proactively contacting them by phone, email, text, in person, and/or via Zoom. This means adhering to or exceeding Beacon Client Communication Standards. You should not wait for them to contact you. Successful Client Marketing Managers anticipate their needs, concerns, changing goals, and ideas.
    • Communicate the client's needs, goals, requests, etc., accurately and promptly to the production team and your account coordinator, as well as the feedback of the production team and account coordinator to the client.
    • Successful Client Marketing Managers take authority and responsibility for the marketing relationship in a professional and respectful manner.
    • Together with your account coordinator and the project coordinator, you will carry the ultimate responsibility for ensuring the timely and quality delivery of your clients' projects and work. This means you take a proactive roll in upholding Beacon Quality Standards and deadlines.
    • Client Marketing Managers are responsible for working with the department leads to ensure the result of their clients’ marketing efforts aligns with Beacon Standards and the clients’ goals.

Nevada is almost entirely within the Basin and Range Province, and is broken up by many north-south mountain ranges. Most of these ranges have endorheic valleys between them, which belies the image portrayed by the term Great Basin. Much of the northern part of the state is within the Great Basin, a mild desert that experiences hot temperatures in the summer and cold temperatures in the winter. Occasionally, moisture from the Arizona Monsoon will cause summer thunderstorms; Pacific storms may blanket the area with snow. The state's highest recorded temperature was 125 °F (52 °C) in Laughlin (e...
