Position Summary
The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, evaluation, and refinement of Washington Regional’s internal and external communication plan. The Marketing Communications Manager ensures all communication is aligned with the overall marketing plan and strategy to create brand awareness, promote key service lines and projects, and drive patient and employee engagement. This position reports to the Vice President of Marketing and Communications and works closely with the internal marketing and communications team, departmental leaders, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Essential Position Responsibilities

Develop, implement, evaluate, and refine communications that tell Washington Regional’s story while aligning with the organization’s mission, brand, and strategic marketing plan

Work in collaboration with the marketing and communications team, internal stakeholders and vendors to create brand awareness, promote key service lines and projects, and drive patient and employee engagement

Serve as a creative storyteller writing, editing, and modifying content for multiple audiences that will be used for the organization’s website and other online platforms, collateral, letters, reports, press releases, advertising, etc.

Communicate complex subjects in an easily understood manner for internal and external audiences

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in communication, journalism, public relations, marketing or related field required-
Licensure/Certification: Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required

Experience: Minimum five years of experience in a technical writing, marketing or communications role. Health care experience preferred.

Skills: Must demonstrate effective communication skills that result in positive and productive collaborations. Must practice sound judgement and have proven writing, organizational, planning, project management, time management, customer service skills and technical writing experience. The ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and information is essential. Must be able to work independently and collaboratively as a member of a team and multi-task
- in a fast-paced environment. Must be fluent in personal computing software (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Work Environment: This position will spend 90% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment and 10% of time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 25 lbs. This is role is onsite.
