Job Duties/Scope Of Work
JOB SUMMARY:
Within the Performance Oversight (PO) organization the role of the Acquisition Verification Services (AVS) Manager is to establish, maintain, and make improvements to HMIS's Acquisition Verification Services. AVS Manager has responsibility for oversight of AVS Program including implementation supporting the One Hanford Contractors.
General expectations and responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to:
- Managing a group of quality assurance professionals that perform receiving inspection, source inspections and other acquisition verification services.
- Serves as a subject matter expert (SME) for receiving inspection, source inspections and other acquisition verification services.
- Schedules and plans work based on availability and technical ability of team members and department resources.
- Developing/maintaining AVS plans and procedures that address the requirements of HMESC.
- Maintaining awareness of HMIS expectations through participation in staff meetings and the review of company documents.
- Advising responsible managers of AVS requirements and suggesting options for implementation and integration with other functional areas.
- Serving as an independent quality reviewer for reports, procedures, statements of work, procurement documents, proposals, plans, etc.
- Operating and communicating effectively and efficiently with all levels of management on AVS issues.
- Establishing relationships and working effectively with both external and internal customers to meet goals and assess customer satisfaction.
- Identifying and understanding customer needs while influencing the prioritization and development of quality initiatives.
- Building and developing strong relationships and teamwork among employees and others while exchanging feedback on issues or concerns.
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree - OR - an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Progressive experience in quality assurance or quality assurance programs.
- Experience implementing and maintaining compliance with AVS/inspection requirements.
- Prior experience in supervising/leading individuals or teams (example: team lead, program/project manager, supervisor, manager, etc.).
Desired Qualifications
* Experience and practice with the following requirements: NQA-1, DOE O 414.1D, DOE O 226.1B, and/or 10 CFR 830 requirements.
- Experience and practice with warehousing and logistics.
- Experience managing an allocated budget and staff.
- In depth auditing experience, including but not limited to, lead auditor certification or significant auditing experience in accordance with Hanford requirements or to a consensus standard (i.e. AS9100, ISO, NQA-1, etc.).
- Experience reviewing procurement documentation (pre and post award).
- Experience in Non-Conforming & Suspect Counterfeit Items (SCI) programs, processes and execution.
- A holder or past holder of any of the following certifications: ASQ CQE, CSQE, CQA, Lean Six Sigma and other types of respected industry certifications.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability manage multiple tasks in an efficient manner.
Compensation & Benefits
Grade 19: $114,475 - $144,325
Grade 20: $126,025 to $158,875
Grade 21: $138,700 to $174,900
