Manufacturing Engineer assists in planning and designing manufacturing processes for a production facility. Maximizes efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization. Being a Manufacturing Engineer determines the parts, equipment, and tools needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specifications. Requires a bachelor's degree of engineering. Additionally, Manufacturing Engineer typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Manufacturing Engineer works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. - Must be able to motivate and work well with people
- Must be a proponent of standardization
- Must be able to travel within the United States and Mexico
- Previous experience in a lean program is a plus
- Technical knowledge of Semi Truck Trailer manufacturing and component assembly is a strong plus
- Must be well organized and have good follow up skills
- Must have strong MSOffice knowledge and ability
