Collaborates with leaders to manage and resolve workforce or labor issues and develop long-term solutions. Additionally, Manufacturing Director implements long-term plans for facilities, equipment, materials, technology, and workforce resources to maintain manufacturing capacity and processes that support business goals. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Manufacturing Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity.     Summary: As the Director of Equipment Refurbishment, you will oversee the daily operations of our Las Vegas, NV location to ensure efficiency and profitability. This position is responsible for developing and implementing operational strategies, policies, and procedures to achieve organizational goals. The Director of Equipment Refurbishment will also be responsible for optimizing processes, leading teams to deliver high-quality products or services, overseeing and enhancing our refurbishment process. Additionally, this position will collaborate with other departments, such as finance, human resources, and sales, to streamline operations and drive business growth. Strong leadership, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills are crucial for this role.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Championing Organizational Culture: Establishing and reinforcing the organization's core values while creating opportunities for growth and development, nurturing strong, cohesive teams that align with the company's mission.
    • Driving Employee Engagement: Cultivating a transparent and open communication environment, consistently recognizing, and rewarding team contributions, and fostering a positive company culture that energizes employee commitment and performance.
    • Operational Efficiency: Streamlining workflows by applying Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, eliminating inefficiencies and non-value tasks, and significantly enhancing productivity across the organization.
    • Leading with Accountability: Overseeing processes and teams by establishing clear expectations, maintaining accountability, and driving individuals to achieve operational excellence consistently.
    • Innovate and standardize processes for diagnosing, repairing, and preparing used games, establishing new quality and turnaround time benchmarks.
    • Demonstrated expertise in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, including DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) or similar problem-solving frameworks. This includes a deep understanding of tools such as process mapping, root cause analysis, statistical analysis and 5S.
    • Develop, disseminate, enforce, and monitor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring successful implementation for consistent execution.
    • Lead the development of tools and resources to improve team performance in refurbishment processes.
    • Drive effective communication strategies to clearly articulate goals, objectives, and changes, ensuring organizational alignment and a culture of continuous improvement.
    • Accountable for guiding the team through transitions with practical change management techniques, fostering a culture of adaptability, innovation, and high performance.
    • Oversee talent management, from recruitment to development, to build a skilled, motivated team aligned with operational goals.
    • Elevating Team Skills: Designing and implementing comprehensive training programs that are engaging, accessible, and customized to accommodate diverse learning styles, empowering team members to thrive and grow professionally.
    • Perform additional duties and responsibilities assigned by management.


    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in Refurbishment, with a strong emphasis on electrical and mechanical skills.
    • Proven experience in SOP development, with a technical background in manufacturing, the amusement industry, or automotive sectors. Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodology expertise is highly preferred.
    • Exceptional leadership skills, capable of handling recruitment, training, and performance appraisals, with a strong focus on setting and managing expectations for staff.
    • Solid understanding of mechanical and electronic systems to oversee complex repair and refurbishment processes efficiently.
    • Demonstrated ability to foster a team environment, work collaboratively, and communicate effectively across all levels of management.
    • Innovative and efficient, with a proactive approach to developing and implementing systems and processes that enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially MS Word & Excel.
    • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and maintain a strong customer service focus in an onsite setting.
    • Willingness to travel up to 10% for business needs.
    • Demonstrated agility and resilience in a fast-paced work environment, with a clear focus on accountability and results.
