Maintenance Planner devises plans and programs for routine preventative maintenance and scheduled turnaround events at a plant or production facility. Accurately defines and estimates required work requests and maintains a consistent tracking system for work orders. Being a Maintenance Planner develops inspection and survey procedures to ensure an effective preventative maintenance system. Works closely with technicians, engineers, operations, and managers to establish a schedule of proactive maintenance activities during appropriate downtime. Additionally, Maintenance Planner utilizes planning and scheduling methods to ensure the most effective and least disruptive maintenance possible. Typically uses a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking and planning maintenance. Monitors spare parts inventory to ensure availability of required parts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. May require a Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Maintenance Planner work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Overview
Our Maintenance Planner plays a vital role within the company and will contribute to the overall success and improved operations within Continental Cement.
The ideal candidate will have mechanical and technical aptitude. Planning and scheduling both routine and outage maintenance work.
Additionally, improving the efficiency and productivity of the maintenance workforce, service, companies, and contractors.
Providing the maintenance employees with detailed job plans, technical specifications, machine history, parts, and tools lists.
The planner shall work in an organized manner while utilizing the latest inspection and condition monitoring information.
The maintenance planner is also responsible for providing all the necessary information to ensure that all work is completed in a safe, efficient, and timely manner in compliance with environmental requirements.
