GENERAL JOB SUMMARY
Inventory Clerk assist in all the activities in the company related to ordering, receiving, storing, and distributing materials, equipment, supplies, and products. They are exceptionally organized and work in a warehouse setting. This position assists in maintaining the company’s inventory and warehouse functions. Additionally, this position receives, stocks, and maintains supplies and materials in the warehouse. Responsibilities include ensuring that materials stored in the warehouse are secure, monitoring inventory levels, tracking orders, and occasionally picking up records from distant locations. They are involved in inventory control processes and count, examine, move, order, deliver, and dispose of materials as needed. They report to the Inventory Specialist.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Utilize Warehouse Management System to ensure accountability of all items maintained within company possession.
- Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Assist in the setup of new client projects.
- Assist in distributing current workload to the production floor.
- Assist by gathering information and tracking progress against approved milestones and advise management on actions requiring identification.
- Comply with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation and enforcing adherence to those requirements.
- Assist the Fleet Management Program to include routing, driving patterns, reducing costs, and tracking of company vehicles.
- Track assets through production process, ensuring status is current and providing reports to appropriate personnel.
- Streamline production process by analyzing policies and procedures and provided data to prevent bottlenecks, discrepancies, and variations.
- Help create documents to track production and produce quantitative and qualitative data.
- Coordinate with Inventory Specialist on fast-track requests that may arise during the production process.
- Coordinate with outside agencies to ensure completed products are delivered properly and efficiently.
- Coordinate with clients for pickup and delivery of documents, including scheduling, arranging transportation of personnel and equipment, and lodging.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure the proper destruction of sensitive data and provide a detailed Certificate of Destruction to the client listing all serial numbers of every document/hardware containing media destroyed.
- This position requires adjusting or moving objects up to 35 pounds in all directions.
- Must be able to navigate warehouse and reach items both high and low.
- Occasional out of town travel to other states or locations for record pickup and delivery.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & TRAINING
- HS Graduate or G.E.D. Diploma.
- Prefer relevant college courses is a plus.
Knowledge, Experience, Skills & Abilities
- Requires 2 or more years work experience in inventory control, inventory management, control disciplines, and computerized inventory record keeping systems.
- Required working knowledge of computer-based inventory systems.
- Required working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe).
- Required to drive cargo vans and box trucks.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Ability to push or pull carts of up to 100 pounds without assistance.
- Valid driver’s license & clean driving record.
- Must be a citizen of the U.S. or authorized to work in the U.S.
- Sit-Down Forklift operations experience a plus.
- Experience utilizing RF Scanner.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Day Shift
- $17 to $20 per hour based on experience
- Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance
