Job Summary:

Process mortgage/commercial/consumer loan documents using approved policies and procedures. Submit signed documentation to appropriate departments once closing of the loan has taken place.

Responsibilities / Essential Functions:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily:

• Process mortgage, commercial, and consumer loans, collecting and disseminating all appropriate information.
• Verify coding on all loans is appropriate to the transaction.
• Ensure that loan files contain documents with proper signatures, dates and other relevant data.
• Assemble and verify accuracy of loan documentation.
• Check documents for proper vesting, legal descriptions, closing dates and signatures.
• Perform duties requiring knowledge of departmental policies and procedures and financial institution products and services. Use office computers for data input and other activities.
• Respond to telephone and written inquiries concerning loan processing and information with effective communication strategies.
• Take information from a variety of sources and input into designated computer programs with a high degree of accuracy.
• Order and ensure receipt on third party documentation such as title work, mortgage payoff, verification of employments, collateral protection insurance and residential appraisal in a timely manner from outside sources.
• Works independently and manage personal pipeline to ensure deadlines and production actions including notifying the manager for alternatives to ensure timely service.
• Knowledgeable of lending procedures and internal bank guidelines.

Additional Functions:

• Perform routine duties with minimal supervision using standard practices or procedures.
• Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
• Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Five years related experience and/or training as a Loan Processor or Loan Closer; or Bachelor’s degree (B. A. or B.S.) and two years related experience and/or training as a Loan Processor or Loan Closer.

• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record-keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative nature.
• Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with fingers. Works with fingers and perceives attributes of objects and materials.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision. Must have a strong ability to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.

Work Schedule/Hours:

• Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Available for overtime as needed.

Pay will depend on experience.
