We're seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Consumer Loan Processor to join our dynamic team.
Job Overview:
As a Consumer Loan Processor, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing various indirect and consumer loan documents. Your role will involve maintaining loan documentation, assisting lending personnel, and ensuring compliance with our policies and governmental regulations. This position requires excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Indirect & Consumer Loan Processing:
- Maintain and file loan documentation.
- Assist with loan records, file maintenance, and documentation retention/destruction protocols.
Document Processing:
- Accurately and efficiently process, fund, and QC various indirect and/or consumer loan documents.
- Research and resolve documentation discrepancies.
Customer Service:
- Assist lending personnel with document requests.
- Receive and screen telephone calls, forwarding them to the appropriate staff member when applicable.
- Ensure members’ requests and questions are promptly resolved.
Loan Management:
- Process loan due date changes, adjustments, pay offs, reversals, skip-a-pay, and loan protection products.
- Verify and balance payments and cash advances.
Title Management:
- Conduct title research, and order, record, and release titles when applicable.
Audits and Compliance:
- Assist with consumer or indirect audits as assigned.
- Review/QC loan packet check-ins to ensure loans are in house.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the credit union’s indirect and consumer loan policies and governmental regulations.
Additional Duties:
- Remit GAP and Warranty Insurance documents.
- Assist Branch Lenders with their needs.
Qualified Candidates Will Have:
- Previous experience in a similar or related role is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of consumer loan policies and governmental regulations is a plus.
- Effective time management skills, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks.

** Please note that this position hybrid remote. The first 90 days must be in our Saco office. After that point, we require at least one day per week in the office.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $26.50 per hour
