Position: EDIN System Administrator
Location: Indianapolis, IN

Pay Rate: $50-55/h

Day-to-Day
- The Engineering Development and Innovation Network (EDIN) Sys Admin will work on the EDIN management team and assist in the maintenance, and support of the network and its systems. The ideal candidate will understand of system administration (Linux and Windows) , experience with Windows domain services, imaging, virtualization, system security processes (i.e. STIGs/general hardening) . The candidate should easily work with a team and have above average soft skills that allows them to interface with users.
Must-haves
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive technical (hands-on) experience in Linux and Windows administration.
- Experience with SELinux
- Proficiency in implementing and managing SSL
- Comfortable with patching, updating and configuring Windows and Linux systems.
- Proficient in File Share configuration and mount points.
- Experience with networking (switch management and configuration, managing and setting up VLANs, subnetting, etc.)
- Experience with device imaging (Linux & Windows)
- Familiar with reverse proxies, and RD and SSH Gateways
- Experience with configuring and managing storage solutions. (SANs & NASs, Fibre channel, switches) - Experience with TrueNAS preferred
- Proficient configuring and managing virtual environments.
- Understanding and proficiency in implementing and maintaining system security. (Applying STIGs, general hardening, vulnerability scanning)
- Experience with obtaining and maintaining Authorization To Operate (ATOs)
- Experience with planning and designing hardware architecture and system design
- End point device management experience
- Capable of scripting (Bash, PowerShell) and familiar with various programming languages
- Experience configuring and managing software development containerization, automation, and analysis tools
- Strong verbal/written communications skills and ability to interact with users
- Knowledge of security standards, methods, and policies; risk and threat analysis; technical security safeguards; and operational security measures.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Plusses
- Experience with networking (switch management and configuration, managing and setting up VLANs, subnetting, etc.)
- Exposure to Systems Engineering and Software Engineering practices.
- Experience with configuring and maintaining manufacturing systems i.e. CNC machines
- ACTIVE Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain additional program-level special clearances
