Follows all portion and presentation specifications and proper preparation methods. Being a Line Cook sets up and stocks workstation with all necessary supplies. Coordinates with other line cooks to ensure meals are delivered consistently and on time. Additionally, Line Cook is responsible for operating and maintaining a single workstation. May prepare sauces or garnishes. Follows all applicable guidelines and regulations for food handling and safety. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a sous chef or executive chef. The Line Cook works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Riverside Country Club in Provo, UT is looking for a line chef to join our strong team. We are located on 2701 North University Avenue.

The Line Cooks of all levels report directly to the Culinary Management Team and are responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency of the dishes leaving their station.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards according to portion standards, within a specific time frame, per check from servers.
Start food items that are prepared ahead of time, making sure not to over prepare estimated needs.
Date all food containers and rotate as per Goldener Hirsch standards, making sure that all perishables are kept at proper temperatures.
Operate, maintain and properly clean all the kitchen equipment.
Use safe food handling procedures and maintain a safe working environment by using proper food-handling skills and food safety guidelines.
Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
Perform any other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Required :
A minimum of one-year experience as a Line Cook
Ability to read and write in English
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs
Desirable :
Culinary Certificate or Degree
ServSafe Certification
