Light Assembler jobs in Kentucky

Light Assembler assembles fabricated parts of small or light subassemblies and completes units. Fits, tests, and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. Being a Light Assembler identifies and sorts units that fail quality standards. May disassemble units to repair or refit parts as necessary. Additionally, Light Assembler operates hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing assembly line equipment to assemble units. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Light Assembler works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.     Duties

    • Perform quality checks on products and parts.
    • Identify defects and maintain detailed records of defects
    • Package finished products and prepare them for shipment.
    • Rotate through all the tasks required in a particular production process.
    • Review work orders and blueprints to ensure work is performed according to specifications.
    • Use basic tools (wrenches/hammer/power tools) to assemble product
    • Maintains clean and safe working environment in line with company policies
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Skills/Qualifications

    • Previous Manufacturing and Assembly Experience Preferred
    • Ability to work in a team environment
    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
    • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
    • Must be familiar with various hand and power tools.
    • Read blueprints and instructions.
    • Counting and basic math skills required.
