TN Americas is seeking a Nuclear Licensing Specialist II to support the TN Americas’ Licensing organization, most notably for regulatory licensing actions with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and regulatory licensing actions with a great many foreign nations, associated with 10 CFR Part 72 dry fuel storage and 10 CFR Part 71 radioactive waste transportation; this involves countless quality records, eventually publicly available, which must meet NRC and Company quality expectations.
The Nuclear Licensing Specialist II will perform a variety of tasks including, but not limited to:
1. Coordinates the TN Licensing NLS work activities, interacting with TN Licensing Engineers to ensure expectations, schedules, and plans are understood.
2. Maintains the quality of TN licensing basis documents, as changes occur from licensing actions with the NRC and changes occur from the 72.48 process within TN, for several NRC certificates of compliance (CoCs), including Technical Specifications (TS) and Safety Analysis Reports (SAR) (both proprietary and public versions).
3. Incorporates detailed changes for updated final safety analysis reports (UFSARs) after CoC amendments are approved, including the research to retrace the entire amendment history.
4. Creates biennial UFSAR update packages, by coordinating incorporation of all change notices.
5. Drafts regulatory submittal cover letters and key enclosures, performs TIP 5.4 editorial verification of regulatory submittals, marks proprietary information and redacts that information for creation of public versions, and ensures that regulatory records meet NRC pre-flight requirements, correcting those records in that regard when needed.
6. Maintains the TN certificate of compliance (CoC) list, per TIP 5.4, for all Part 71 and Part 72 CoCs and maintains the TN Amendment Milestones List, tracking submittals, public meetings, teleconferences, etc.
7. Assists with meeting TN users group commitments, including ongoing research and listing of Part 72 industry documents from the NRC’s ADAMS database.
8. Processes and promulgates the monthly internal report of open 10 CFR 72.48 proposed activities.
All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher-level position.
Experience with NRC quality expectations.
Detail-oriented.
Experience with Microsoft Office suite applications.
Experience with Adobe Acrobat.
Experience with USNRC Electronic Submittal protocol and quality requirements for pre-flight assessment and correction.

Salary range annually: $110-$130K
