Licensing Manager oversees the licensing of employees responsible for the sale and marketing of insurance, loan, or investment products. Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations; maintains all necessary records. Being a Licensing Manager manages license acquisition and renewal processes. Establishes databases or recordkeeping policies and strategies to track the status of agents, applications, and forms. Additionally, Licensing Manager may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Licensing Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Licensing Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     JON MISSION:

    Join our Brand Licensing team as an Associate Manager, Brand Licensing. This position offers an opportunity to innovate and evolve NB’s licensed apparel product line. You will assist the licensing team with the successful development, design, and merchandising of licensed apparel product lines. You will ensure the product line meets the brand’s long term business plans and vision for the future.

    MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    • Build product assortments & manage the product creation process for global licensed apparel categories including kids’ apparel, outerwear, & sports bras from brief through sell-in.
    • Partner with the internal apparel product teams to develop licensed apparel aligned with seasonal needs and palettes.
    • Demonstrate understanding of the product creation process, products, and systems while adhering to product creation calendar.
    • Identify product gaps in the New Balance apparel assortment and assist with the licensing team’s course of action to fill them.
    • Evaluate prototypes and in-line products to recommend continuous improvements.
    • Ensure data-entry integrity and maintenance of product accuracy in NB systems.
    • Review and approve product submissions in Licensing Management system.
    • Work closely with license partners on day-to-day communication, requests, and submissions.
    • Prepare and deliver internal seasonal product presentations.

    REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

    • 5 years of business experience, including ideally 2 years of experience in product management
    • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field
    • Ability to think critically and provide constructive insight in a collaborative global environment
    • Ability to manage multiple products, projects, deadlines and processes
    • Superior verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
    • Potential domestic and international travel
