The Catoosa Public Library has an opening for a library assistant. This is customer-focused work in a library setting. The ability to provide excellent customer service is essential. The applicant must also possess strong computer skills and the ability to utilize the internet, databases, and computer programs including Word and Excel. Providing technical assistance to library patrons is an integral part of this position. The successful applicant will have good written/spoken English skills. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred. A comparable amount of experience, education, and/or training may be substituted. Preference will be given to individuals with prior library experience. This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours of work per week and benefits are included. Must be able to work Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:30am to 7:00pm, Fridays from 8:45am to 3:00pm, and Saturdays from 10:00am to 2:00pm.
