At Knight Nicastro MacKay, a legal recruiter is responsible for finding and placing lawyers, paralegals, and legal staff within the firm. You will collaborate with stakeholders to identify their staffing needs and then search for qualified candidates. In addition to sourcing and screening candidates, our KNM legal recruiter will also manage all aspects of the placement process, from initial interviews to salary negotiation and onboarding.
We need someone with the experience and maturity to keep the Firm’s needs in the forefront and work closely with the COO and key staff on hiring and retaining high performers who are drawn to challenge and yearn for the satisfaction of a job well done.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
· Source, identify, and attract qualified attorney candidates through various channels, including online recruiting platforms, legal job boards, professional organizations, and law school career services.
· Cold calling potential candidates.
· Screen and evaluate resumes and cover letters to identify candidates with the required skills, experience, and qualifications.
· Conduct initial candidate interviews to assess fit for the role and the firm culture.
· Tracking all submissions
· Working with hiring partners and managers on key decisions throughout the hiring process, including resume review, interview process and overall process improvement; scheduling interviews with hiring managers.
· Develop and implement a comprehensive attorney recruiting strategy, aligned with the firm's or department's growth objectives.
· Partner with hiring managers to understand their specific needs and qualifications they seek in potential hires.
· Negotiate salary and benefits packages with candidates.
· Oversee the onboarding process for new hires to ensure a smooth transition.
· Stay current on legal industry trends, compensation benchmarks, and recruiting best practices and make recommendations where appropriate.
· Analyze recruiting data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize the recruiting process.
· Maintain strong relationships with law schools, legal associations, and other recruiting partners.
