Dunn Legal Group, PLLC is a multi-practice law firm with experienced legal counsel in the greater Houston area with a focus on criminal, civil, business, and family law litigation. We are looking for a part-time legal assistant to train for a full-time position.

Responsibilities

·     Assist the managing attorney and associate attorneys in preparing for court settings, hearings, and trials by communicating with clients and court staff, drafting and filing motions and subpoenas, and organizing discovery and legal documents.

·     Manage the office’s incoming and outgoing phone calls, text messaging, and email accounts.

·     Draft new contracts and manage payment schedules.

·     Manage the law firm’s calendar and attend meetings to take notes for the attorneys in attendance.

·     Manage social media accounts, website marketing, and new client inquiries.

·     Responsible for all additional administrative needs in the office.

Qualifications

·     High School Diploma

·     1 year of prior experience in customer service, office management, paralegal work, or as a legal assistant.  

·     A personal laptop is required.

·     Understanding of legal terminology is preferred.

·     Strong communication and organizational skills are a must.

·     Candidate must be personable, professional, and reliable in a fast-paced working environment.

·     Candidate must be a quick learner and self-motivated with the ability to adapt to change quickly.

·     Must have reliable transportation to be able to get to the courthouses in downtown Houston and our offices located next to NRG Stadium.

·     Conduct all business confidentially.
