We are currently looking to add a talented Lean Implementation Specialist to our team located in Somerset, New Jersey.
As a Lean Implementation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of projects within our firm.
Your primary focus will be on optimizing project workflows, enhancing collaboration among various stakeholders, and coaching the implementation of various Lean Design and Construction tools and principles, such as the Last Planner System (LPS).

What You'll Do
LPS Implementation and Oversight :
Lead the adoption and integration of the Last Planner System across projects.
Collaborate with project teams to create predictable workflows and identify potential hurdles.
Ensure that commitments made during planning are followed through during execution.
Coach project teams new to LPS in their adoption of the system.
Collaborative Planning :
Facilitate regular planning sessions involving all Last Planners and project stakeholders during all phases of the EPCMV project lifecycle.
Promote conversations to address issues before they disrupt project flow.
Use pull planning techniques to synchronize personnel, materials, and information.
Utilize current tools (software aka Touchplan) to streamline the planning process.
Flow Enhancement :
Facilitate the project team to run daily huddles to set expectations for each day’s work.
Monitor progress against the Weekly Work Plan.
Identify bottlenecks and streamline processes to maintain a smooth workflow.
Risk Mitigation :
Proactively address challenges and risks that may impact project timelines.
Implement corrective actions to maintain project flow.
Collaborate with the last planners (those closest to the work) to make reliable commitments.
Continuous Improvement :
Embrace Lean principles, including waste reduction and value generation.
Learn from breakdowns and refine planning processes.
Optimize overall project outcomes by aligning with the core tenets of Lean and Lean Construction.
Lean Design and Construction Implementation Support :
Provide project-level support for teams implementing Lean Design and Construction tools such as Target Value Delivery (TVD), Big Room, Choosing By Advantages, 5S, etc.
Provide coaching as teams learn new tools and concepts on their projects.
Collaborate closely with project teams to develop Lean deployment plans based on project needs and goals.

Qualifications & Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience implementing and coaching Lean Design and Construction methodologies, such as the Last Planner System, in construction and design projects.
Desire to help foster a continuous improvement culture on projects and throughout the company.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
