FOLK Landscape Architects is an award-winning firm located in Las Vegas, Nevada. Started in 2013 to promote environmental stewardship, strong communities and beautiful spaces, FOLK is growing and looking for passionate individuals to join our team. We like working on many types of projects to keep things interesting and hone our professional skills. Project types include parks, schools/universities, religious facilities, medical facilities, cultural projects, hospitality/resort, attainable housing, and much more.

This is a salaried full-time position, on-site, with flexible work schedules. Salary is commensurate with experience.

IDEAL CANDIDATE CHARACTERISTICS

YOU ARE:

• A Registered Landscape Architect in Nevada or able to seek reciprocity
• Passionate about design and its effects on the environment and community.
• Self-motivated and can handle multiple projects and responsibilities.
• Able to assume responsibilities associated with project management (team coordination and communication internally and externally, project scheduling, budgeting, etc.)
• Experienced with proposal writing, client management and presentations, and project management from conceptual to construction administration.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, Microsoft office suite, and Microsoft Project.

YOU HAVE:

• 5 years’ experience in landscape architecture
• Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture
• A strong work ethic and design abilities.
• Flexibility to occasionally work at night or on weekends when project deadlines demand.
• Excellent written, oral and graphic communication skills.
• A solid understanding of planting design and plant ID skills
• Understanding and experience with grading and drainage
• Experience writing construction specifications.
• Working knowledge of 3D programs, such as Sketchup and TwinMotion, and hand graphic skills are a plus!

Candidates with additional background in ecology, arborist certification, native plant selection, sustainable design credentials, graphic design and other skills are encouraged to share details.
