Land Surveyors Supervisor jobs in Missouri
Land Surveyors Supervisor supervises a staff who surveys and investigates land surfaces to project precise measurement and location of lines, angles, points, areas, and elevations. Ensures the staff performs project research, boundary calculations, and records accuracy of survey data, notes, and sketches. Being a Land Surveyors Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty or in a related area. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Land Surveyors Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. Job Description
Candidates will be required to have practical experience or recent school coursework in land surveying methods and practices.
This position functions as the leader of a one person (robotic and GPS enabled) or two person survey crew, performing survey field work.
Minimum Requirements:
- Progressive experience performing survey field work or relevant coursework.
- Must have a valid driver's license and ability to pass a driving record check acceptable to our insurance company.
- Must be physically able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Qualifications
Experience with Trimble survey equipment such as Robotic Total Stations, GPS, and Trimble TSC3 Access based Survey Controllers a plus, but not required. We will provide all necessary training for a candidate that wants to learn and has a good attitude.
Successful candidates will have a mature approach to performing assigned tasks accurately and with minimal supervision.
