Labor Relations Manager implements and maintains a company's labor relations programs, policies, and procedures. Ensures satisfactory labor-management relations and helps interpret collective bargaining agreements. Being a Labor Relations Manager leads grievance procedures including arbitrations and assists all levels of management on labor matters. Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area. Additionally, Labor Relations Manager typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Labor Relations Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. What You'll Do
Assists in all areas of Labor Relations and Human Resources for the Uranium Processing Facility (UPF) project. Serves as Labor Relations and Human Resources interface with bargaining unit employees, stewards, and peers in other departments. Specifically responsible for: onboarding new employees inclusive of badging, background checks, and all other LR/HR onboarding activities; FMLA submission and verification; employee evaluations; participating in investigations of potential employee misconduct; auditing incentive programs for accuracy and compliance; creating and maintaining records associated with alleged violations of the bargaining unit contract (grievances); participating in formal grievance hearings and assisting in the preparation of arbitration cases; and interpretation and implementation of Human Resources (in particular Labor Relations) policies and procedures and the bargaining unit contract. Participates in ad-hoc assignments involving Human Resources, Labor Relations, Benefit Plans, Payroll and Operations Management processes. Performs other administrative duties as assigned.
