Janitor cleans and maintains buildings, facilities, and equipment. Uses cleaning tools and other products to create a clean, healthy environment. Being a Janitor removes and disposes trash, recycling, and other waste following the appropriate policies. May need to have basic maintenance skills. Additionally, Janitor may require a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Janitor works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and floors
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in all areas of the facility
Empty trash cans and dispose of waste properly
Dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, countertops, and windows
Replenish supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and minor repairs
Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to the supervisor
Follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines
Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in good working order
Assist with setup and cleanup for meetings and events as needed
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 2:25 PM
