Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Controller/Senior Consultant to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time, exempt position with a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $130,000. In this multifaceted role, you'll have the opportunity to take on complex assignments with minimal direction, continuing to develop your consulting methodologies and gain exposure to different service lines within the industry.
Key Responsibilities- Review and provide feedback to enhance the quality of services and deliverables.
- Define, manage, and adhere to project scopes, ensuring timely and budget-friendly completion.
- Manage and support projects, delivering measurable outcomes through critical thinking, data interpretation, and actionable recommendations.
- Perform general ledger reconciliations, month-end preparations, budget preparations, cost reports, and other compliance reports.
- Foster effective communication and positive relationships with teammates and clients.
- Juggle multiple client engagements simultaneously, reporting to various project leads.
- Embrace additional duties as assigned.
- Experience managing teams and multiple projects concurrently.
- Hands-on proficiency with accounting software like QuickBooks, Sage, and MIP.
- Expertise in executing the full accounting cycle, including AP, AR, depreciation, journal entries, month-end/year-end closing procedures, and financial statement preparation.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, XLOOKUPs, and Pivot Tables (experience with Power Query and Power Pivot is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Robust mathematical and analytical abilities.
- Willingness to share knowledge and skills with others.
- Bachelor's degree.
- 7 years of accounting experience.
- Prior experience delegating, reviewing, and finalizing projects.
- Supervisory or project management experience.
- Healthcare industry experience is a plus.
- Public accounting experience is a plus.
- Technical expertise applicable to Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) is preferred.
- Ability to work prolonged periods sitting at a desk and using a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
