Supervises the IT Asset section by interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating the performance of employees. Oversees the asset inventory tracking process, the auditing of inventoried assets, and the accuracy of the asset information maintained in an IT inventory database. Oversees, tracks, and processes IT procurements. Monitors the daily shipping and receiving process to ensure all documentation is kept up to date and all procedures are being followed. Oversees the entire M&R process for all DPS agencies to ensure proper standards are being met and old and outdated equipment is getting processed by M&R on a regular basis. Tags all IT related assets before they are issued out to employees. Changes and updates status of assets, as required, and ensures the IT inventory database is updated correctly. Notifies management of exceptions, problems, errors, or non-compliance with procedures that compromise ability to perform responsibilities or that impair the accuracy of records maintained. Performs other duties as assigned.

Summary
The Department of Information Systems (DIS) Information Technology (IT) Asset Manager is responsible for the direct supervision and daily management of IT Asset Management personnel. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency policy.
Functions
Supervises the IT Asset Management section by interviewing, hiring, training or providing training, assigning and reviewing work, and evaluating the performance of incumbents. Oversees the asset inventory tracking process, the auditing of inventoried assets and the accuracy of the asset information maintained in the Arkansas Administrative Statewide Information System (AASIS). Assists the Warehouse Facilities Manager to ensure that the delivery vehicles and the warehouse facilities are properly maintained, and maintains and safeguards all inventory maintained at the warehouse. Monitors the daily shipping and receiving process to ensure all documentation is kept up to date and all procedures are being followed. Provides a supporting role as Administrator with the InControl server to scan POP (Point of Presence) and IP addresses on all DIS related networked devices. Assigns assets to DIS employees; changes and updates status of assets, as required, and monitors scan files to ensure they are updating the database correctly. Notifies management of exceptions, problems, errors, or non-compliance with procedures that compromise ability to perform responsibilities or that impair the accuracy of records maintained. Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Knowledge of various server and desktop software. Knowledge of DIS methodology and processes. Knowledge of supervisory practices and techniques. Ability to read, comprehend, and write technical system documentation. Ability to develop and maintain rapport with clients, vendors, peers, subordinates, and supervisors. Ability to communicate to direct contacts through written and verbal media.
Minimum Qualifications
The formal education equivalent of a bachelorâÃÂÃÂs degree in information technology or a related field; plus three years of experience asset management or procurement of information technology equipment, including two years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
Licenses
Must possess a valid Arkansas driverâÂÂs license.
