Position Summary:
Strategically plans, implements, and leads outreach efforts designed to foster physician alliance and improve relationships within healthcare community markets and service areas. Grows business opportunities and maximizes referral and redirection opportunities through the development of synergistic partnerships with providers, community groups, and other inpatient/outpatient associations. Monitors outcomes and participates in performance improvement activities.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
In conjunction with C-suite, develops outreach objectives based on facility strategic plan. Demonstrates knowledge of the hospital and competitor strengths and weaknesses regarding service lines, technology, and physicians. Provides solutions for increasing the hospitals position competitively within assigned areas.
Performs research on physicians to determine potential for hospital & ambulatory utilization. Oversees creation of a target list of physician contacts whose business is desired by system. Plans and implements visits to physicians, their staff and other potential referral and business sources. Maintains good account relationships and implements innovative selling ideas and methodologies.
Reports on key activities and communication through company approved CRM tool. Meets company requirements for base level of admissions, surgeries and/or outpatient visits. Monitors outcomes of volume growth activities to identify process improvement opportunities.
Communicates operational and service issues to hospital leaders and improvements requested or suggested by physicians. Conducts follow-up with all involved in issue resolution.
