Investment Specialist analyzes and researches financial markets, securities, and investment products to assess risks, evaluate potential returns, and make informed investment decisions for an organization. Collects and researches economic data, financial metrics, and market conditions to develop and build financial models, forecasts, and investment strategies. Being an Investment Specialist monitors and analyzes portfolio performance, asset allocation, and risk exposure to ensure alignment with the organization's investment objectives, strategies, and risk tolerance levels. Prepares investment reports and analyses on investment opportunities or strategies to identify trends and recommend actions for the organization. Additionally, Investment Specialist utilizes mathematical formulas and statistical analyses to identify potential or alternative investments and calculate and evaluate financial health, returns, and fair value of securities, assets, or other investments. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Investment Specialist work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. - Responsible for processing investment transactions and reconciling account information
- Reviewing system records and client agreements to ensure company standards and client eligibility are met
- Sorts and scans all applicable documentation into Filenet for WMS, CNR and CNS
- Able to verify accuracy, manage risk, resolve issues using multiple resources, account records and online systems
- Provides back-up for other numerous functions when required to
Must-Have*
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 4 years of securities experience, preferably in trust securities.
- Minimum 4 years of experience with procedures, practices and regulations governing trust-securities operations.
Skills and Knowledge
- Ability to perform research and analysis of data related interest/dividend
- Ability to deal with Investment Managers and brokers in difficult situations
- Ability to interpret documentation
- Thorough understanding of and experience, using procedures, practices and regulations governing trust-securities operations
- Computer systems experience preferred
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Extreme flexibility, ability to handle a large volume of work which includes multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy
CompensationStarting base salary: $24.46 - $36.69 per hour. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
