Our client, a leading company in the transportation and logistics sector based in Woodbridge NJ, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in employee relations, benefits administration, and HR practices within a transportation, logistics, or blue-collar environment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of human resources functions including employee relations, benefits administration, recruitment, training, and compliance.
• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures tailored to the needs of the transportation and logistics industry.
• Provide guidance and support to management and employees on HR-related matters, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
• Manage employee relations issues, investigations, and conflict resolution, promoting a positive work environment and fostering employee engagement.
• Administer employee benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organizational objectives and initiatives.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in HR management, recommending enhancements and improvements as needed.
• Conduct training sessions for managers and employees on various HR topics including performance management, diversity, and inclusion.
• Handle HR-related documentation and record-keeping, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
• Proven experience (5 years) in human resources management, preferably within the transportation, logistics, or blue-collar industry.
• Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust at all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity and discretion.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage competing priorities.
