Frank Calandra Inc. seeks a Manager International Sales and Logistics in its Oak Hill, West Virginia, location responsible for managing the supply flow and sale of our drilling consumables and tungsten carbide products. Specific duties include: (i) managing the company’s relationship with vendors/suppliers of our products located primarily in China; (ii) handling all international importing and exporting activities related to our products; (iii) communicating with our international supply partners in China and other international markets to secure and organize supply chain logistics; (iv) identifying new sources of supply for the company's raw material needs, primarily within the Chinese supply market; (v) managing the sale of our products to customers primarily in the US market; (vi) directing the activities of a U.S.-based sales team; (vii) identifying new markets/sales opportunities within the mining industry in the U.S.; and (viii) meeting with existing and prospective customers regarding product needs and identifying appropriate sales solutions.
Must have a bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in International Business, Business Management, Economics, or a directly related field, plus two (2) years of international sales and business development experience, including two (2) years of experience (can be concurrent) with: (i) quality assurance methods; and (ii) international logistics processes and procedures.
Must know (through academic background, training, or experience): (i) Chinese geography, travel methods and business norms; and (ii) how to identify and capitalize on business opportunities and navigate cultural differences with Chinese customers.
Must be fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
