As a member of DFA’s internal communications team, this role will support DFA’s human resources team in coordinating and executing employee communications projects and activities in alignment with the department’s overarching strategy, while ensuring integration among DFA’s brand strategy and maintaining brand standards. Partner with human resources to prepare communications strategies. Develop, edit and deliver consistent messaging and effective communications to internal audiences through a variety of different platforms. Perform duties under the general direction of senior or management staff. Work closely with others on DFA’s communications, events, and marketing/public relations teams to ensure content is integrated in DFA’s overarching communications strategy and to leverage communication opportunities across audiences.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement effective communications plans
Under minimal direction, coordinate and execute communications projects and activities targeted to employees in partnership with human resources; coordinate multiple communications projects concurrently, completing projects on time
Create and edit communications content in partnership with human resources, while also working closely with internal communications teams to ensure content is presented and delivered effectively
Draft and maintain human resources content on the employee intranet
Provide guidance on communications to human resources team and external partners and vendors
Develop communications templates and tools for employee communications
Function as communications liaison with Human Resources
Draft content for DFA’s publications
Assist in creating presentations for various audiences
Maintain and build relationships with stakeholders across the Cooperative
Collaborate closely with communications team on cross-functional communications needs

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite, including Outlook, Teams and SharePoint
Strong knowledge of AP style
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including proofing
Prior experience with email communication platforms (ex. Mailchimp and Staffbase)
