This is an advanced level position that performs or administers audits on behalf of PEIA. Audit scope includes, but is not limited to, healthcare claims, eligibility, and plan compliance. The position is responsible for planning, developing, assigning, and reviewing agency audits. Due to the nature of PEIA’s services, which include the adjudication of healthcare claims, this position will be exposed to protected health information. This position is a critical element of PEIA, as it is the primary resource for the identification and prevention of fraud, waste, and abuse. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of healthcare claims administration processes and be prepared to be proficient in the calculation of complex medical and prescription drug claim reimbursement systems such as DRG, APC, RBRVS, discount off MAC, discount off AWP, and per diem. The candidate must have the ability to assess, plan, develop and administer audits of varying scope, size, and complexity. Strong analytical skills, risk identification capabilities and the ability to manage large, complicated audit projects are key attributes of the successful candidate. Responsibilities also include the supervision of an Accounting Technician 4 employee and oversight of external audit vendors in the development and administration of audits.Click The APPLY Link To Apply Online.

Training: Graduation from an accredited college or university including eighteen (18) semester hours in Accounting.
