Interior Aircraft Assembly Manager manages the interior fabrication of aircraft including mechanics, the fitting of sub-assemblies to the aircraft, and final aircraft interior production. Ensures compliance with all engineering, FAA, and customer regulations and specifications. Being an Interior Aircraft Assembly Manager ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Acts as advisor to interior assembly team regarding projects, tasks, and operations. Additionally, Interior Aircraft Assembly Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a unit/department head. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget.     Duties

    • Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates.

    • Serves as a senior advisor to management and executive leadership on developing and implementing strategic plans in support of achieving the program objectives.
    • Develops priorities for effective use of resources.
    • Works with team members enacting an initial repeatable process for performing reviews and assessments, and documenting analyzing and reporting findings.

    Qualifications

    You must possess one (1) full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 level that is equivalent in difficulty and complexity. Specialized experience is defined as: (1) managing wild horses and burros programs to include developing policies, budgets, regulations, and guidance for the management, study, capture, handling, maintenance, transportation, distribution, adoption/destruction of wild horses and burros and rangeland management, wildlife and vegetation; (2) analyzing complex and controversial wild horses and burros program issues with a national scope to develop solutions that may require extensive research and outreach to other experts; (3) managing communications and procurement actions for wild horses and burros programs, and rangeland management, wildlife and vegetation..

    Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
