Dinsmore & Shohl LLP, a prominent national law firm with over 750 attorneys in 30 cities, has an immediate opportunity available for an Intellectual Property Transactions Associate in Cincinnati and Cleveland, OH; Chicago, IL; Louisville, KY; Troy, MI; and Pittsburgh PA. This position requires 3-5 years of experience with technology transactions, intellectual property (patent) and technology licensing, software agreements, collaboration agreements, joint venture agreements, and experience with intellectual property issues arising in corporate/commercial transactional contexts (e.g., mergers and acquisitions, funding/investment, etc.). While not required, ideal candidates should have patent prosecution or patent litigation experience in technology areas such as computer, electrical, or mechanical, and/or patent portfolio management expertise, and can look forward to a practice that will include significant client contact, a diverse range of work, including structuring, drafting and negotiating technology agreements, related client counseling, and other types of patent-, technology-, and licensing-related matters. Ideal candidates will be licensed to practice in Ohio, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, or Pennsylvania (or licensed in another state and qualified to sit for the respective state bar exam) and admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
