- A doctorate in health administration or a related field is preferred.
- Applicants with a master of health administration (MHA) degree or master’s degree in a discipline directly related to the courses to be taught may be considered.
- Master’s degree holders must have five or more years of professional work experience and hold a supervisory/managerial position in a healthcare position that is directly related to the courses to be taught.
- Experience teaching courses is required.
- Demonstrated teaching effectiveness.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to build successful relationships with student populations.
- Demonstrated time management and detail-oriented skills.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet frequently occurring deadlines.
- Ability to develop a professional rapport with diverse school/campus constituents.
- Ability to develop and complete projects without continued direct supervision.
- Excellent written communication skills including the ability to build successful relationships with student populations.
- Outstanding conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated time management and detail-oriented skills.
