Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Educational Assessment provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Educational Assessment typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone with a genuine passion for teaching and a deep understanding of modern development practices. The successful candidate will possess:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Design, or a related field.
Five years of experience in teaching adult learners, preferably in a similar training or boot camp environment.
Three or more years of professional software experience, with at least one year in full-stack software engineering.
Proficiency in front-end and back-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, and popular frameworks like React.
Experience in feature development, testing, and optimization.
Agile development process experience.
Availability to work evenings and Saturdays.
Preferred Qualifications
Veteran status preferred (honorable discharge).
Responsibilities
As a member of our team, you'll:
Consult on curriculum and content development.
Employ strategies to meet the needs of adult learners, including leveraging tech tools and instructional best practices.
Manage regular communication with students to align on progress and expectations.
Provide individualized student support during class sessions and office hours.
Iterate content and curriculum based on stakeholder feedback.
Evaluate student performance and progression toward competencies.
Skills And Traits
Extensive experience in content creation.
Ability to work with multiple Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Dedication to helping others advance in their careers.
Honesty and openness in teaching and mentoring.
Working Conditions
No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
Work is primarily performed in a typical interior/home office environment.
