Information Technology Director directs the implementation and administration of information systems and equipment in accordance with organizational policies and goals. Develops internal procedures and guidelines to diagnose and resolve technical issues across different systems and technologies, including hardware, software, and networks. Being an Information Technology Director analyzes high-level business needs and researches new technologies to identify and select IT hardware and software products to support internal business processes. Evaluates methodologies, processes, and specifications of an organization's IT systems to develop an IT strategy and roadmap and ensure computer equipment, hardware, and software operate in alignment with organizational needs and standards. Additionally, Information Technology Director plans and designs an organization's network infrastructure including LANs, WANs, and wireless networks and monitors network performance. Oversees IT projects through their entire lifecycle to ensure completion is on-time and within budget and provides technical guidance to resolve complex issues. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Information Technology Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Information Technology Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     To be successful in the position you will:

    ·        Possess a strong understanding of IT Infrastructure and network management, capable of overseeing the resort's technological framework

    ·        Provide leadership in managing the IT Department, ensuring team members are motivated, knowledgeable, and working efficiently towards objectives

    ·        Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating with other departments to meet the resort's wide-ranging technological needs.

    ·        Demonstrate exceptional project management abilities, showing the ability to lead complex IT projects from conception through to successful execution

    ·        Showcase excellent problem-solving skills, able to quickly diagnose and address IT issues before they impact our operations or customer experience.


    Base Pay: $90k-$115k depending on experience                 

    Location: Angel Fire Resort – Not Remote

    Employee Type: Salary - Exempt

    Job Category: Full-Time Year Round

    Leadership Responsibilities: Yes. Directly supervises 1-3 employees in the IT Department

    Required Certs or Licenses: Valid Driver’s License

    Attendance: Regular, predictable, punctual, and in-person attendance is essential, including weekends and holidays as scheduled 

    Typical Shift: 8am-5pm. But must also be on call and available year-round.

    Education and/or Experience                                                

    Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Computer Science or related field from a four-year college or university; or seven to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Consults with management to analyze computer system needs for management information and functional operations, to determine scope and priorities of projects, and to discuss system capacity and equipment acquisitions.
    • Recommends and develops plans for systems development and operations, hardware and software purchases, budget, and staffing.
    • Manages the development, implementation, installation, and operation of information and functional systems for the organization.
    • Develops, implements, and monitors management information systems policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, and legal and regulatory compliance.
    • Negotiates and contracts with consultants, technical personnel, and vendors for services and products.
    • Provides support to end users in the selection, procurement, usage, and maintenance of software programs and hardware.
    • Manages computer operation scheduling, backup, storage, and retrieval functions.
    • Manages the development, implementation, installation, and operation of Security Monitoring Systems and Cameras.
    • Reviews reports of computer and peripheral equipment production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine costs and impact, and address problems.
    • Develops, maintains, and tests disaster recovery plans.
    • Analyzes complex business needs presented by the end users and recommends technical solutions.
    • Ensures the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions.
    • Directs and prioritizes the workload of subordinate personnel.
    • Directs education programs for her/his staff.


    Computer Skills                                              

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient with:

    • Platform operating systems, including Windows and Apple OS.
    • Local area network administration.
    • POS and Ticketing Software (Accesso-Siriusware & Passport, SQL)
    • Server management, including e-mail, file/print, network infrastructure, web services, and backup servers and their associated operating systems and software. (Windows, ESXi, Virtual Servers, Juniper)
    • Network hardware and equipment technologies, including routers, switches, hubs, and wireless devices. (Ubiquiti Controller)
    • Telecommunications infrastructure and its associated software and hardware, including Cisco PBXs, call management systems, voice mail, interactive voice response, and cellular voice/data systems.
    • Database concepts and management.
    • Application support experience with Microsoft Office product suite.
    • Security solutions and technologies, including firewall, anti-virus, anti-spam, and intrusion detection systems. (Endpoint, Enterprise)
    • Knowledge of SOX/PCI/DSR
    • Dual Verification system (DUO)
    • Property Management Software (RDP)

    • Experience in implementing effective and innovative software development methodologies
    • Proven ability to lead a progressive IT group.
    • Provide training and continuing education tech-related systems.
    • Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
    • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and motivate professional staff
    • Analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies
    • Broad knowledge of data processing systems, concepts, and methodologies
    • Understanding of general business and specific Resort business issues
    • Able to build relationships with 3rd party vendors, and Business Stakeholders
    • Ability to maneuver in tight, enclosed spaces (ceilings/floors) to pull cabling where required.
    • Ability to climb ladders and radio tower scaffolding and work in roof-top locations. 

                                       

     

    Physical Demands

    While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Due to the resort nature of this job, you will occasionally be required to work in all aspects of an outdoor alpine environment.
