GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
The OSA is creating an AI applications procurement and development function within the agency. Systems with this capability are focused on the OSA’s need to accelerate Audit production, uncover complex fraud data, while implementing the technologies, transparently.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Work under the direct supervision of the Chief Information Officer.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Investigate new and emerging technologies that can be used by business operations to streamline and automate manual processes with AI based systems.
o Identify and implement cloud based services to deliver technology solutions.
o Rationalize the current technology portfolio in key areas and research/ develop plans for replacement systems.
o Create sandbox environments to explore trends in technology for technology and application development utilizing advanced concepts in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.
o Assist in harmonizing OSA AI policies with Commonwealth protocols for the development, use and monitoring of advanced systems.
o Create or purchase applications with governance controls and data frameworks using emergent technology and/or AI based systems.
o Partner with OSA technologists to deliver prototyped technology based on use cases.
o Work with internal and external resources to discover and implement best technology solutions suitable for OSA use.
o Establish relationships with key stakeholders within OSA to effectively manage projects. and expand use cases.
o Lead and drive initiatives in organizational process automation.
o Track and analyze metrics relevant to specific project successes.
o Work with external development organizations to help deliver programs and tools for creating new AI and advanced technology applications.
o Develops and implements communication channels to ensure information flows freely among other managers and the overall department.
o Actively solicits cross-functional collaboration across individual contributors, teams and overall department.
o Uses well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to create and maintain effective working relationships with diverse, broad-based constituencies.
o Collaborates with internal and externally peered organizations on cross functional team projects.
o Ensures communication of project updates with business partners across the business operation and technical groups.
o Works with AI Audit group to help develop applications for testing AI based systems where needed.
