Position Summary
As a member of the Information Technology Department and Security Team, the Information Security Analyst is responsible for assisting the Infrastructure and Security Manager with the monitoring of the CVG computer networks for security issues, install security software, document any security issues or breaches, and provide feedback for the remedy of security issues. This is a high paced, challenging environment that requires a confident and knowledgeable Information Security Analyst that is willing to go the extra mile to provide outstanding solutions with a “can do” attitude.
Responsibilities- Monitor computer networks for security issues.
- Investigate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents.
- Install security measures and operate software to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls and data encryption programs.
- Document security breaches and assess the damage they cause.
- Work with the security team to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities.
- Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard.
- Stay current on IT security trends and news.
- Develop company-wide best practices for IT security.
- Perform penetration testing.
- Provide regular vulnerability scans.
- Help colleagues install security software and understand information security management.
- Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management.
- Stay up to date on information technology trends and security standards.
Required Qualifications:- Degree/certification or 3 years directly related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
- Understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, and IDPS concepts.
- Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them.
- Understanding of patch management with the ability to deploy patches in a timely manner while understanding business impact.
- Experience working in a multinational organization.
- Experience working in an organization with compliance regulations (SOX, CCPA, DFARS, GDPR, HIPPA, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Strong organization skills.
- Ability to operate in a fast paced, changing environment.
- Ability to lead by example, work individually and within a team environment.
- Communicate and explain technical issues to non-technical customers.
- Possess exceptional trouble-shooting skills and knowledge of industry tools used to diagnose and resolve security issues and breaches.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Server Operating Systems, Azure/O365, Active Directory security best practices.
- Knowledge of Linux Operating Systems security best practices.
- Knowledge of Virtualization, Cloud Platforms, and remote connectivity technologies such as VDI and VPN security best practices.
- Knowledge of networking technologies as they relate to troubleshooting security issues.
- Participate in various projects, tasks, and duties as assigned.
- Adhere to established safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Experience with Varonis Tools.
- Experience with Nessus Vulnerability Scanner.
- Experience with Proofpoint Protection Suite.
- Experience with BMC BCM.
- Experience with PRTG Network Monitor.
- Experience with Binary Defense Endpoint Security.
- Experience with Palo Alto XDR.
- Manufacturing Experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Basic Knowledge of SharePoint
