Human Resources Manager develops human resources policies and programs and directs the staff in managing and implementing programs that support employee engagement, productivity, and company objectives. Manages key HR functions, including recruiting, employee/labor relations, health and safety, compensation, benefits, training, diversity, payroll, and employee records. Being a Human Resources Manager develops and delivers internal staff communications. Evaluates, selects, and manages relationships with vendors to provide supplemental HR processes and services. Additionally, Human Resources Manager maintains employee records of pay, benefits, accidents, performance, and other activities and files reporting required to comply with labor laws and regulations. Collaborates with leadership on special projects. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Human Resources Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Human Resources Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     The Human Resources Manager will oversee all routine functions of the HR department, including hiring, interviewing, training, benefits management, and policy enforcement. This role is essential for fostering a positive and productive work environment, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and contributing to the company’s overall strategic goals.


    Key Responsibilities:

    1) Daily Operations:

    • Oversee the daily workflow of the HR department.
    • Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.

    2) Employee Relations:

    • Handle employee discipline and termination in accordance with company policy.
    • Support and guide HR generalists, management, and staff on complex and sensitive issues.

    3) Strategic HR Partnership:

    • Partner with the leadership team to develop and execute HR and talent strategies aligned with the company’s current and future needs.
    • Manage talent acquisition processes, including recruitment, interviewing, and hiring for managerial and professional roles.

    4) Talent Management:

    • Analyze trends in compensation and benefits to propose competitive pay programs.
    • Develop learning and development programs to provide internal growth opportunities.

    5) Compliance and Best Practices:

    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
    • Stay updated on HR trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to maintain compliance.

    6) Additional Duties:

    • Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
    • Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.


    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
    • Minimum of three years of HR experience preferred.
    • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification highly desired.
