POSITION: General Manager
JOB SUMMARY: Hotel Management Company is looking for an experienced General Manager for a limited service Hotel in the Columbus, Ohio area. This individual will be responsible for the overall operation and financial reporting of the hotel in compliance with the Hotel's Standard Operating Procedures. Individual should have at least 2-3 years hotel General Manager experience. Previous IHG or Marriott experience highly preferred.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
· Develops the annual budget and sales & marketing plan and ensures the attainment of the budgets for all departments.
· Monitors operating expenses for all departments and audits/summarizes the month and financial statements.
· The General Manager monitors and ensures compliance with Hotel brand and management company standards.
· The General Manager maintains the highest of standards in Guest Satisfaction and meets or exceeds the franchise standards. Internally maintains a positive and productive environment for the employees with open communication.
Ensures transactions are accurate and acts as liaison with hotel owner and management company.
· The General Manager must have strong leadership skills to maximize productivity and effectiveness of the team.
·Must be able to work under pressure, prioritize and delegate.
· Must be able to invest the time it takes to "get the job done" and be dependable.
· Must be able to meet the public with poise and handle difficult situations with tact & diplomacy.
EDUCATIONAL/VOCATIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Requires management/supervisory skills and excellent communication skills.
Proficient in computer programs such as Excel, Word and Outlook.
Must be dependable & unquestionably honest
Must have minimum of 2-3 years of Hotel GM experience.
