    Hotel Manager

    Description:

    The Hotel Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel operations to ensure guests have a pleasant experience and that the hotel runs efficiently. This includes managing staff, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, overseeing financial operations, and maintaining the overall cleanliness and functionality of the hotel. The Hotel Manager reports directly to the General Manager.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Support General Manager:

    • Assist the General Manager in managing daily hotel operations and implementing strategies to achieve business goals.
    • Act as a second-in-command in the absence of the General Manager, making decisions and resolving issues as needed.

    2. Staff Management:

    • Recruit, train, and supervise hotel staff, including housekeeping, maintenance and other personnel.
    • Schedule staff shifts and allocate duties to ensure adequate coverage and efficient operation of the hotel.
    • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and performance.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees.

    3. Customer Service:

    • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by responding promptly to guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints.
    • Monitor guest reviews and feedback, addressing any issues or concerns raised and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
    • Implement and maintain standards for customer service excellence throughout the hotel.

    4. Financial Management:

    • Develop and manage the hotel budget, including revenue and expense forecasting, monitoring financial performance, and implementing cost control measures.
    • Maximize revenue through strategic pricing, upselling, and promotional activities.
    • Oversee billing and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
    • Prepare financial reports for management and stakeholders.

    5. Operations Management:

    • Ensure the overall cleanliness, maintenance, and functionality of the hotel facilities.
    • Coordinate with maintenance and housekeeping staff to address any maintenance issues or cleanliness concerns promptly.
    • Monitor and enforce compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
    • Oversee hotel reservations, check-in/check-out processes, and room assignments to optimize occupancy and guest satisfaction.

    6. Administrative Duties:

    • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to hotel operations, including guest registrations, financial transactions, and employee records.
    • Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials for management and stakeholders.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
    • Previous experience in hotel management or a similar role, with a proven track record of success.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office applications.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

    Working Conditions:

    The Hotel Manager may be required to work long hours and weekends, especially during peak seasons. The role may also involve some travel for training, conferences, or promotional events.
