Helper- Brick and Stone Mason prepares and lays brick, concrete block, tile, marble, and related materials using chisels, hammers, trowels, and other hand tools and implements. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being a Helper- Brick and Stone Mason may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Helper- Brick and Stone Mason relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Brick Mason to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in masonry work.
Responsibilities:
- Construct and repair brick structures, including walls, arches, and other architectural features
- Lay and bind bricks using mortar or cement
- Cut or shape bricks to fit specific spaces using hand or power tools
- Restore and renovate existing brickwork
- Work with various materials such as concrete blocks, tiles, and terracotta
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure projects are completed accurately and on time
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Brick Mason or similar role
- Proficiency in masonry techniques including hardscaping
- Familiarity with power tools used in masonry work
