Our client, a leading player in the medical device industry, is seeking an experienced Senior R&D Hardware Engineer to join their team based in Munich. As part of this dynamic and innovative organisation, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that make a real difference.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with establishing design input needs, assessing feasibility, and identifying technical solutions during the concept and feasibility phase.
• Design electronic and electrical hardware to meet specifications, including analogue and digital system designs for new and modified products.
• Plan components, assembly, and system verification and validation, as well as implementation and evaluation (risk analysis and cost estimation).
• Develop technical documentation for product design, including requirements, schematics, and drawings, in accordance with internal quality management and medical device regulations.
• Obsolescence Management; track obsolete components, evaluate risk, find alternatives, create/modify part specifications and/or re-design of related circuits
Requirements:
• MSc / BSc in Electrical Engineering
• Experience designing electrical or electronic components for medical devices.
• Proficient in circuit design and board layout using professional CAD tools (e.g. Altium) while considering manufacturing and EMC criteria.
• Knowledge of Polarion SW platform for requirements, quality, and application lifecycle management.
•Ensure compliance with medical device standards
• Familiar with FDA Quality System Regulations and MDR
• Familiar with Risk Assessments/ Analysis
• Accurate and responsible, with a solution-oriented mindset.
• Strong analytical and organisational skills, as well as process design knowledge
