Grader, Bulldozer, and Scraper Operator jobs in South Dakota
Grader, Bulldozer, and Scraper Operator operates a specially equipped tractor to gouge out, level, and distribute earth. Prepares land for constructing roads and buildings. Being a Grader, Bulldozer, and Scraper Operator may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. May have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Additionally, Grader, Bulldozer, and Scraper Operator is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. We are looking for experienced Scraper Operators along with other heavy equipment operators for all of types of earth moving equipment including skid steers, excavtors, motor graders, bull dozers, front end loaders, and packers.
Responabilties- Strips, excavates, backfills, ditches and stockpiles material with scraper
- Interprets information on grade stakes
- Cuts and spreads fill material with scraper
- Inspects and maintains the scraper
- Performs other tasks as needed
