Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? Terracon is growing and hiring a near-surface Geophysicist in our Des Moines, IA office! Our Des Moines office performs a comprehensive range of near-surface geophysical technologies in support of geologic, groundwater, environmental, engineering, and materials testing investigations, including utility location.
This position is for an engineer or geoscientist who will be responsible for performing non-invasive geophysical surveys from the ground surface to provide images or models of subsurface conditions.
These results are incorporated into the planning, design and construction of vital infrastructure such as roads, tunnels, airports, landfills, water supplies, and other facilities;
the assessment of environmental conditions; and the evaluation of earth resources. Geophysics supports all four of Terracon’s service lines.
This position will also have the opportunity to assist with field logging and laboratory testing for Geotechnical or Environmental projects.
