Additionally, General Maintenance Worker may require a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The General Maintenance Worker works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Job Description:
Performs general duties in and around the buildings of the facility including equipment installation, repair and maintenance, new construction and remodels.
Job Essentials- Performs corrective maintenance and repairs on defective mechanical equipment to ensure equipment operates in an effective manner. Completes appropriate documentation in a timely manner.
- Performs preventative maintenance as assigned to ensure optimum operating efficiency and safety requirements are met.
- Performs inspections on all incoming equipment per Intermountain Engineering Guidelines.
- Installs equipment as assigned.
- Maintains tools and test equipment in proper operating condition.
- Performs or assists in minor technical, electrical, carpentry, painting and plumbing repairs as assigned.
Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance procedures.

Experience with a variety of construction and maintenance skills; such as minor technical, electrical, carpentry, painting and plumbing repairs.

Proven ability to trouble shoot and repair maintenance issues.
Preferred Qualifications
Trade school in either construction, electrical, carpentry, or mechanical
