Additionally, General Maintenance Worker may require a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The General Maintenance Worker works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. - Repairs flooring, doors, frames and related door hardware
- Participates in meetings, workshops, trainings for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions
- Responds to emergency situations during and after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns
- Repairs plumbing fixtures, drains, pipes and related equipment
- Comprehends mechanical drawings, blueprints and other diagrams to facilitate repairs
- Performs carpenter work
- Replaces electrical equipment working up to and including 220 volts
- Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit
